Connecting PC Satellite TV to Large TVs
One of the questions that people inevitably ask as soon as they hear about PC satellite TV is whether or not it is possible to hook such a service up to large TVs. While it may be all well and good for some to watch their TV on a smaller monitor, the fact of the matter is that many people actually enjoy lounging on a sofa while watching their large-screen TV, and the idea of losing that is not pleasant.
Frankly speaking however, there is nothing to stop you connecting your PC satellite TV to your large-screen TV. This is especially the case if you're using a new-ish TV and PC, because many of the new TVs come with DVI or HDMI ports and so too do most of the new graphic cards. Having this connection makes hooking up your PC to your large-screen TV fairly easy because you just need to plug in the cable into the right port.
However, if you're using a older TV or PC then you might find yourself in a bit of a problem. Mind you, there are solutions to this problem, but almost all of them will require you to buy a special adaptor so that you can plug in both your PC and TV into that adaptor and use it to hook them up together. Don't worry though - it isn't nearly as complicated as it sounds.
Before you connect your PC satellite TV to a large screen TV there are a number of things that you should be aware of. First and foremost amongst these is the fact that when you do so all the programs that you watch are going to be scaled upwards to fit into the screen of that TV. While this should be no issue when it comes to HD programs or those in high resolutions, it will make low resolution videos relatively unwatchable.
End of the day, that is the main trade-off you're going to have to make, and it comes as part and parcel of connecting your satellite TV to large TVs.
All things said and done, connecting PCs to TVs are common enough nowadays, and with the right hardware you should find that you're not able to use your TV itself as a monitor, but you'll also be able to enjoy other aspects of your PC on a big screen.
Frankly speaking, as you can now see connecting PC satellite TV to large TVs is not the 'problem' that many people make it appear to be. In fact, it is (in most cases) as simple as just plugging in the right connection into the right socket. So long as you can achieve that you'll find that you're able to view PC satellite TV on your TV itself with no issues whatsoever.
Don't you think that would be nice?
